Human Needs Food Pantry Donation Day: Sat Nov 14 | Montclair NJ

The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair announces a special Saturday Donation Day on November 14, 2015 from 10am to Noon.

Each month, more than 3,000 bags of groceries are distributed to the elderly, the disabled, and others in need in Montclair and surrounding communities. Clients of the pantry go through a verification process to qualify for assistance. Supplemental nutrition assistance is delivered to home bound clients.

While all non-perishable food items are warmly received, at this time the pantry is in particular need of diapers and wipes for infants, new socks, mittens and gloves, hats, and scarves. Thanksgiving is arriving soon – donations of non-perishable Thanksgiving food items are greatly needed. (Canned green beans, mushroom soup, and fried onions are ideal for Green Bean Casserole).

The Human Needs Food Pantry is located on Label Street Montclair, next to the Egan and Sons parking lot. More details about the Saturday Donation Day can be found on the pantry’s Facebook page.
