Fall at the Ramsey Farmers’ Market

The non profit Ramsey Farmers’ Market continues its extraordinary outdoor venue with over 50 outstanding farmers and food purveyors every Sunday from 9AM-2PM through the end of November outside at the Main St train station. As most farmers’ market close in October or early November, the Ramsey Farmers’ Market just ” brings it all inside” and begins its indoor winter market every Sunday, December through March, from 10AM-2PM at the Eric Smith School located at 73 Monroe St., Ramsey, NJ. This Sunday, October 4th, visit the Wellness Day tent for interactive demos and information for healthy living.

Each Sunday local farmers and food purveyors bring seasonal fresh vegetables and fruits, including organic produce, artisan breads and fine cheeses, local wine, fresh fish directly from the Hampton Bays, hummus, pickles, gourmet dried fruits and nuts, freshly squeezed lemonade, homemade soups, pastas, and sauces, fresh mozzarella, gluten free baked goods and prepared foods, sweet and savory tarts, homemade jams, stuffed breads, green juices, goat and yak meat, free range eggs, milk in glass bottles, kombucha and kimchi, organic prepared salads, made on site guacamole and so much more.

Visit www.ramseyfarmersmarket.org for a complete list of participating vendors, schedule events, chef demos and children’s crafts, music and dedicated business sponsors or call201-675-6866 for more information.

The market continues its commitment to support local farming and a sustainable community, focusing on recycling, ways to reduce your carbon footprint and community wellness. The market’s Pay It Forward program collects donated non-perishable foods from market patrons and fresh produce from farmers- all delivered to the Center for Food Action in Mahwah, NJ each week.

The non profit Ramsey Farmers’ Market is sponsored by the Ramsey Historical Association and supported by the Borough of Ramsey.
