Celebrated Chef/ Restaurateur Chris Siversen’s longtime dream of opening a hip, casual burger place will become a reality in the next few weeks with the launch of BURG  in the heart of Newark’s recently revitalized Military Park. Siverson sat down with Emmy Award winning television host Steve Adubato this week to share details of the project.

Iversen explained that he was amazed at the wide range of people who pass through Military Park. It is a mix of college students, business people, and local residents. The park is a in the center of a vibrant and energetic area bound by NJPAC, the nearby Prudential Center, and many leading local companies.  Local PBS station NJTV is in the same neighborhood. Iverson compares Military Park to Bryant Park in Manhattan, but on a smaller scale given the size of Newark.

The full interview, just 9 minutes long, will leave you anticipating the opening of Burg and open your eyes to Newark.
