Why hello May-you’re here, you’re here, you’re finally here! Can you tell I’m just a little excited for the warm weather arrival?? By the outlook of all the festivals and food truck events this month, it seems like everyone else is just as enthusiastic at the prospect of being outdoors. From border to border NJ is going to be drawing some big crowds and dishing out tons of delicious regional food this month. As usual…get those calendars ready!
May 2nd – Tom’s River Food Fest; Toms River, NJ: A family friendly event centered around food truck fare, shopping at the local merchants, and kid-friendly rides and entertainment. There will also be a beer and wine garden for the adult crowd.
May 8th-Middletown South Food Truck Festival; Middletown South, NJ: This is truly a family friendly foodie event. Pack your lawn chairs for a movie on the highschool football field while perusing the variety of cuisines to be offered by local food trucks. There will also be a corn-hole tournament, and arcade truck and more!
May 9th-10th-Mother’s Day Weekend at Crystal Springs Resort; Vernon, NJ: Crystal Springs Resort is celebrating the special day dedicated to Mom with a whole weekend of fun ways to celebrate. Both Crystal Tavern and Springs Bistro will offer special menus while Grand Cascades, Black Bear Country Club and Minerals Resort & Spa will host Mother’s Day buffets. Restaurant Latour will offer its full 5-course “Anthology” and 7-course Chef’s Degustation menus. Moms will also be honored with a free round of golf at the Black Bear, Crystal Springs, Cascades or Minerals courses. Reservations can be made at (844)-247-9137.
